MEETING
NOTICE

Minutes of April 14, 2009
George Conover called the meeting to order at 7:45 PM with 14 members present. The minutes of March
10th were read and with one change as follows: We need additional 12 Tote Bags NOT 10.
The minutes were accepted as read. The Treasurer’s report was read and accepted as read.
Report on file.
George went to the Clarion Hotel in West Atlantic
City, NJ and their rates were $109.00 per night but would be $89.00 for a block of (10) rooms. Vickie Emmell
said that Don Kolb works there and probably could get us a better rate. Will let us know at next meeting.
Frank Beck reported on the Program Book. Money is starting to come for the sale of ads.
Warren Brown said that he would talk to Jim Stewart to get a price on the printing of books.
Vickie Emmell is going to Sport Hyundai/Dodge and see if they will give us (2) tow trucks. Dan Conover
is also trying to get tow vehicles but has been unable to get in touch with Mike Zindorf but will keep trying.
George is going to get in tough with the Egg Harbor Sea Scouts and find out if they are going to man our pit gates
this year.
John Fitzgerald reported on the Wildwood Hydrofest and said everything is moving right along.
Henry Wendt said that the Lake Hopatcong, NJ Regatta is set to go but the lake water level is down and may be a problem.
But Henry said to get your boats ready to go because he feels that the water level will be up by then.
Some questions put to the membership: #1. Do we want to order T-shirts again? #2. Do we want to
order Mugs, must order at least 36?

Beck suggested that we sell these items and he would make up some stickers and plus we have the patches. We
could put all these items for sale at Pit Gates to make a little money for club.
John Fitzgerald made a motion that WRBA buy 3 mugs at $7.00 each. The other items, except the T-Shirts,
we already have. Frank Beck seconds the motion. All members present for, none against.
Motion carried.
Tammy Hickerson, out Web Master, is going to update
our website. If any member or race teams have any changes please let Tammy know thru “Contact Us”
on our website: www.windingriverboaingassn.org. We still have a lot of members/race teams not on our website.
Please consider joining our site and making it worth all the hard work that Tammy has done to make it a great site.
Post pictures, stories, backgrounds, boat data, accomplishments, etc.

Beck s going to contact a few radio stations to see if the will come and broadcast from our race site on Saturday or Sunday
or both.
With no further business, old or new, Warren Brown made a motion to adjourn and John Fitzgerald second the motion.
